Atlanta is world’s busiest airport

For the 21st consecutive year, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the world’s busiest passenger airport. A CNN report says the Airports Council International’s world traffic report 2018 shows that more than 107 million passengers flew through the airport last year.

Passenger traffic increased by 6,4 percent to 8,8bn globally last year. Atlanta’s passenger traffic increased by 3,3 percent.

Beijing’s Capital International Airport and Dubai Airport respectively placed second and third in the top passenger airports, the same rankings as 2017.

Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport took the first spot for most aircraft movements whilst
Hong Kong remains the largest cargo airport. The number one fastest growing airport is India’s airport in Bangalore.
